The longest film ever made is ‘The Cure for Insomnia’ . It was released in 1987 and is 85 hours long.  

There is a famous scene in ‘The Godfather’ where the actor Marlon Brando holds a cat. The cat was a stray that the film director Coppola found while on the set; it was not called for in the original script.

The most expensive film ever made is Star Wars : the Force Awakens from 2015.  It cost over $530 million dollars.

National Cinema Day is in early September every year. It is a day when the cinemas across the UK give reduced tickets to everyone, and have events celebrating films.  

AI can already make videos in seconds which would normally take a visual-effects artist days to create. In the near future, you may watch a film completely generated by AI.  

Popcorn is the most popular snack to eat at a cinema, followed by sweets, ice cream and nachos.  You could always wear a coat with pockets and bring in your own snacks as the price in the cinema can be extortionate.

 By 2021, the film industry in this country employed over 106 000 people.

According to medical experts, watching a film is not only excellent escapism but it brings cognitive changes in your brain and improves physical and mental health.

The film Avatar 2009 grossed the most amount of money at the box office at $2.92 billion.

 In 1939 Toto the dog in The Wizard of Oz was paid more money than some of the actors in the film.

 After the film Ratatouille was released in 2007 the sales of pet rats increased by 50%.
