Following on from last week’s English/Library transition event with Year 6, please take a moment to read two creative responses from the pupils that reflect on the day.
Amber’s reference to ‘om’ is because this is how Sita signalled for them to listen. By the end of the day, they were all sharing a collective ‘om’! There was singing, exhibition, sharing memories, and much more. The day was fantastic.
A Visit of Memories by Amber Kan (6G)
Memories, what wonderful memories!
Make lovely boxes, that you will treasure and keep,
Fill them, pile them, stack them with accessories!
Embark on a journey with many mysteries you will
seek.
Silence.. “Oooooohmmmm”
Saris, what wonderful saris!
Traditional clothing full of embroidered gems,
Wear it, fold it, unleash the stories from the
past!
Stand back, there’s a story by the Thames.
“Oooooooooooooohmmmmmm”
Silence.. “Oooooohmmmm”
Conches, what wonderful conches!
Choose your path, on a journey to the manor!
See, smell and hear the ripples of the sea,
Or face the dangers from a ladder.
“Oooooooooooooohmmmmmm”
Silence.. “Oooooohmmmm”
Collections, what wonderful collections!
Collect memories with care,
Rage, tears, and happiness, the emotions you split
into sections
spread the anchors you share.
“Oooooooooooooohmmmmmm”
Silence.. “Oooooohmmmm”
Songs, what wonderful songs!
Time and count, to sing a round
Experiment, learn and make sounds which go BONG!
Unite together to make one big precious song.
“Oooooooooooooohmmmmmm”
Silence.. “Oooooohmmmm”
Memories, what wonderful memories!
Make lovely boxes, that you will treasure and keep,
Fill them, pile them, stack them with accessories!
Embark on a journey with many mysteries you will
seek.
Joy
and happiness to be back with my friends and tell them about my holiday journeys.
Space travel, olympic medals, adventure
and exploring new places.
