I want to share with the PGS community a link to a wonderful concert that was broadcast live on Radio 3 on Mon 7 March, live from the Wigmore Hall by pianist Simon Trpceski and his Makedonissimo ensemble.
It features the UK premiere of Dr Shahov’s wonderful quintet and I would really recommend you listening to this concert (also with music by Brahms and Connesson) for two reasons:
(1) that the players are superb
(2) Dr Shahov's piece is stunning and the performance is electric.
I also thoroughly recommend the album Makedonissimo, featuring a suite of Dr Shahov's arrangements of Macedonian folks songs performed by the same musicians.
