She was a Renaissance painting
Her face was unknown to history
Yet a doppelganger of that time
She was a blend of all those girls
It makes me wonder if Emile Eisman chose her as a model in a past life
Her face vaguely familiar in each framed work
Looking down at me as she hangs there
And there in the next one (and the next) as I walk through this gallery
A corridor filled with shapes of her
