I covered the arrival of LCT 7074 as it arrived from Portsmouth Naval Base to Southsea seafront by the War Memorial on a barge at 04.00 am, then covered it being unloaded and taken to the D Day Story, where it has pride of place with the original two tanks, a Sherman and a Churchill, that used to be outside on the grass. Both are now on board the landing craft and soon will be open to the public to go and look around.
