Dentist are not going to be happy!
New technology proposed by electrical
engineers, Donghyun Lee and Beelee Chua at Korea University in Seoul, have teamed
with Haribo to create a prototype Haribo gummy that is able to detect and
monitor the pressure on the sweet when a child chews it in order to measure a
child’s development.
It is only in the early stages but this new
idea could help indicate a child’s muscle growth around their jaw to see if
they are developing properly. The gummy device is recyclable and is held
between bamboo cantilevers with a wrapping of conducting aluminium foil.
