by Thomas Woodward
The sun lay untouched,
Tranquil and laid-back.
Gently lapping to and fro,
It was as flat as a millpond.
She inhaled deeply,
A pebble rolled onto the sand,
Etched with scratches and scars.
She exhaled strongly,
The pebble parted the water like Moses.
She inhaled deeply.
