Yesterday we planted up the seeds and we will need to keep checking them over the next two months to compare the growth of the different sets of seeds. The Junior school also have a set of these seeds and we look forward to comparing results with them in due course.
Wildlife Club are taking part in a project with many other schools
to find out whether seeds are affected by going into space. A large number of
packets of seeds of the Rocket plant were taken into space when Tim Peakes went
up to the space station. The seeds have now returned to Earth and have been
sent out to schools, along with identical looking packets which have stayed on
Earth as a control.
