Saturday June 20th was Portsmouth’s first Gay Pride
parade. Thousands turned out to support the city’s LGBT community. Behind the
samba band and leading the parade were staff, OPs and pupils from the nursery
right through to the sixth form representing PGS Pride – the school’s society
which aims to celebrate difference and help every pupil to feel proud of
themselves. After
the parade, the team promoted the great things they do and raised funds for
next year’s parade by selling rainbow cakes at the variety show on Southsea
Common.
