These pictures
of the sun were taken with a Canon 600d using a 500mm lens and a home-made solar
filter created with Baader Solar Safety Film for the construction of high-quality
objective-filters designed for observing the sun with a camera.
This foil is
CE-tested and reduces the intensity of sunlight by 99.999%. I was testing it out, ready for the 20th March solar eclipse.
