38 has always been my favourite number.

There are 38 surviving plays written by William Shakespeare.

Just over 8 million people live in New York City. That means 1 in every 38 people in the United States call the city home.

In ancient Norse mythology, the number 38 means bravery.  Norse stories were divided into 38 chapters, with the heroes fighting giants or other beasts in groups of 38.

In June 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea. The war ended 3 years later.  The war lasted 38 months. The 38th parallel , which is an imaginary line 38 degrees north of the equator, now forms the border between the two countries.

There are a total of 38 languages widely spoken in the world.

Christmas cake is the Cockney rhyming slang for number 38.  

There are 38 slots on an American Roulette wheel in casinos.

In ancient Egypt, the number 38 represents Anubis who is the jackal headed god.  

Pharaohs were often buried with 38 statues of cats to protect them.

Strontium is a chemical element It has symbol Sr and atomic number 38. 

In 1901, blood types were discovered.  When people have operations, if they need blood transfusions it is important that the blood matches or is compatible with their own.  

38% of the population has O positive blood, making it the most common blood type.

O positive blood is compatible with many different types.

 McLaren’s  new F1 car for 2024 is called the MCL38.
