Middle School Enrichment Day 2022

 by Nathaniel Gingell

On Friday the 18th of November Year 8 joined with Year 7 for Enrichment Day. The theme for the day was ‘Compassion in the Community’ and will culminate in an exciting event for parents next term.

We were sorted into our respective houses and undertook a photo safari, where we toured the area around school and took photos on the categories of compassion, architecture or the  open category where we could take a photo of our choice. A few photos will be selected for presentation at the parent’s event.

As well as these photos, there was a charity pitch task where we had to work in teams and research and then select a local charity. After all the pitches had been heard, a charity was selected by each house for that house to then fund raise for through the year. At the time of writing final decisions haven’t been made, so stay alert!

It was a very enjoyable day (and not just because we were off timetable!) and a good opportunity to have some fun whilst thinking about the PGS Core values of compassion, creativity and collaboration.
