Poem for Sunday: Cyborg

by Zoe Pallant-Sidaway

Metal fights flesh
It halts my thigh
Stalled by inability
Do two halves
                     make a whole?

Monochromatic monsters
Haunt our skin
Glass eyes stare
Blank is the new beautiful

A jolting live
In shades of cool
It warms my circuits
Am I the Tin Can Man?

Deluded miscreation
A fall from humanity
The organic truth
Is now only angular thoughts
