After the Christmas hype we can all feel a bit down and deflated, so here are a few ways to improve your January blues.

1.      January sales.

There are always good sales on in the shops and on line.

2.      Baking

New year is a good way to improve on your skills or start something new, here is an easy sponge recipe to get you started:

4oz butter
4oz flour
4oz caster sugar
2 eggs
(add 1 tbsp cocoa powder to make it Chocolate)
Mix all the ingredients and cook in an oven heated at 180 for 35mins

3.      New Year New Start
Use the new year to take up new activities and hone in on new skills. Starts something you’ve never tried before.

4.      Look forward to the prospect of snow

5.      The shortest school term
