Looking for Alaska by
John Green is about Miles who goes from Florida to a boarding school to follow
in his father's footsteps.
He desperately wants to make new friends. He meets
the boy he shares a room with, Chip, but he is rude and arrogant.
Miles meets a
girl and falls in love, but she already has a boyfriend; he feels out of place
and miserable.
However, Miles faces a shocking truth about Alaska and life, and
must come to terms with growing up.
This is a really gripping read and I would
recommend it to anyone who likes reading contemporary novels about teenagers.
